Last Updated: 2026-03-16
HTTPeep values your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
I. Information We Collect
1. Activation and License-Related Information
When you activate the Software, we may collect the following information:
- Activation Code
- License Type (
paid/trial/gift) - Device Identifier (a
device_idderived from a stable motherboard-level fingerprint) - Bucketed or hashed soft device traits used for silent migration and abuse detection
- Operating System Type and Version
- Activation Time and Last Validation Time
- Hashed request IP for trial abuse prevention
- Administrative audit metadata for issuing, exporting, and revoking licenses
This information is used solely for license verification, device management, trial abuse prevention, and administrative audit trails.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect (Crucial)
HTTPeep does not actively collect or upload:
- Your network request content
- Request or Response Headers / Bodies
- Cookies, Tokens, Passwords
- Local captured data
All traffic capture and rule processing are performed locally on your device by default.
II. Purpose of Information Use
We use your information only for the following purposes:
- To verify the validity of the activation code;
- To manage the number of activated devices;
- To issue and revoke paid, trial, and gift licenses;
- To prevent abuse and illegal use;
- To improve software stability (without involving specific traffic content).
III. Third-Party Services
HTTPeep may use the following third-party services:
- Stripe: For payment processing. Stripe may collect information related to your payment. Please refer to Stripe's Privacy Policy for details.
- Supabase: For license data storage and administrator authentication. Supabase processes the minimum account and license metadata required to operate the licensing system.
HTTPeep will not provide your captured data to any third party.
IV. Data Storage and Security
- License-related information is stored on secure servers or databases.
- Soft device traits and trial request IP addresses are hashed before storage; the
device_iditself is a derived identifier and does not store raw hardware values. - Newly issued activation codes may be encrypted at rest so administrators can export them again when needed.
- We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information from unauthorized access.
V. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Query your activation status;
- Request to deactivate a specific device;
- Request revocation of the license (within reasonable limits).
For support, please contact us via official channels.
VI. Policy Updates
- This Privacy Policy may be adjusted based on product development.
- The updated policy will be posted on the official website or within the Software.
